Back by popular demand, Sarah is going to host another exciting class on how to make a Folded Star pot holder, either round or square. This would make a great Christmas present!
Make a round or square pot holder using the folded square method. Four different and contrasting fabrics are needed to make one potholder. Depending on how the squares are folded determines if it will make a square or circle, the choice is up to you. Four fat quarters (18” x 22”) are needed. Yields two pot holders.
Supply List:
4 fat quarters or scraps equaling approximately 1 yard of fabric
Subcut your fat quarters into the following squares prior to class
5 squares 3” x 3”
8 squares 3.5” x 3.5”
8 squares 4” x 4”
8 squares 4.5” x 4.5”9.5” x 9.5” square of muslin or light colored solid as foundation (for each pot holder)
9.5” x 9.5” insulbrite or batting (for each pot holder)
9.5” x 9.5” square for backing material (for each pot holder)
2.5” strip of bias binding for round pot holder
Small personal iron and wool mat
Quilting ruler measuring at least 9.5” in length
